MAC Studio Sculpt // A Review:

Howdy!

So, today I thought I'd do a little review for you in an attempt to get this blog up and running and make something of it.  I'm pretty swamped with uni work at the moment but I'm definitely going to make time to post on here a little bit more; so here is my little review of MAC Studio Sculpt Foundation (my shade is NW20).

I know that this is a very popular foundation, and it really is my all-time favourite.  I went to MAC when I was a bit of a makeup newbie and asked the makeup artists there for some recommendations.  I have quite dry skin that's also rather sensitive and a little bit spot-prone around the chin area; I try to avoid powder foundations or any that are too matte since they just enhance the dryness and make me look cakey and horrible.  I wanted a foundation that gave a good coverage to conceal the patchy redness my skin is prone to, but that still had a dewy finish so I could just powder where necessary.  Studio Sculpt is the answer to all my skin woes.

It's a gel based foundation with quite a thick consistency, but despite this it never feels too heavy or cakey on my skin.  You only need a pea sized amount for your whole face and even when I've been wearing it all day (I'm talking from about 7am till around 5pm), my skin still feels moisturised and soft, and the coverage is still awesome.  It gives a healthy, dewy finish and I can then just lightly powder through my t-zone to get rid of any excess shine without having to completely mattify my face (I find a loose powder is best for dry skin).

I'm currently looking for a lightweight, slightly more sheer coverage foundation for the summer since I don't like to wear too much make-up in the warmer months, but for the rest of the time Studio Sculpt will always be my go to foundation. Absolutely love it and cannot recommend highly enough!

MAC Studio Sculpt Foundation retails for £25 for a 40ml / 1.3 fl. oz tube in the UK.
