Spring Skincare: 2014
Hey everyone :) I've been neglecting this blog a bit recently, but now that I have less uni work on my hands I'm determined to dedicate more time to updating it. Back today with a springtime skincare routine - little disclaimer; I have sensitive/dry skin so all of these products will be for my skin type.
First is the Clinique Liquid Facial Soap. I use this to cleanse morning and night and you only need one pump to create a rich, creamy lather. I like this because it's non-drying and is just a good all round cleanser that does what it says on the tin. Fragrance and colour free, this is a dream for sensitive skin.
Next I use the Lush Eau Roma Toner Water - I just use this in the morning, and spray it directly onto my face. It instantly wakes me up and refreshes my skin, and the lavender in it is great for soothing any redness and irritation. Can also be sprayed onto a cotton pad and then applied to the face to remove any excess makeup.
For my day cream, I'm currently using the Olay Double Action Sensitive Day Cream. I like it because it's light but still keeps my skin moisturised all day. Looking for something a little bit more intense for the summer though, when my skin tends to get super dry.
For spot treatments I love the Simple Spotless Skin Deep Clean Cleansing Pads. I can't rave about these enough - I wanted something to incorporate into my daily skin routine to help prevent spots, and these fit the bill perfectly. They're just thin exfoliating pads that I use on my chin and nose at night and they keep spots at bay, but they can be used all over the face if you want. A lot of spot treatments are quite harsh and smell really strong, but these are really gentle on the skin.
At night I use the Nivea Daily Essentials Rich Regenerating Night Cream. A great, no fuss night cream that has a really mild Nivea scent and provides intense overnight moisture. You don't need to use much either so a small tub lasts ages! I use the one for dry/sensitive skin but they also do one for normal/combination.
For eye cream I've been enjoying using the Nivea Q10 Anti Wrinkle Eye Cream. Now I'm only 21, I don't have wrinkles, but this is just a good eye cream whatever your age. Really lightweight and lasts for absolutely ages.
I hope this was somewhat interesting, and like I said I'm gonna make more of an effort with this blog from now on!
